Mobile Ticketing
The Cinemas, on the forefront of ticketing technology!
The Cinemas is collaborating with SETAR N.V. to enable mobile ticket sales for both The Cinemas @ Renaissance Marketplace and The Cinemas @ Paseo Herencia.
From now on, the boxoffice is at your fingertips, as you will be able to skip the long lines at the boxoffice by purchasing tickets for your favorite movies through your mobile device. Simply purchase the tickets now and you will be charged at the end of the month on your SETAR postpaid bill.
Three Methods
Mobile browser
From your mobile device, surf to http://mobile.thecinemas.aw and choose the movie you would like to see. Click on the showtime of your liking and then choose the number of tickets. Once you have entered your SETAR postpaid number, your SuperCard and your email address, confirm your order and you'll receive an SMS notification. Forward this notification to 4444 and you will have successfully purchased you movietickets. Simply bring your mobile phone containing the SMS with the transaction code to the entrance of The Cinemas and you will gain entrance. If you entered your email address, bring the email you received (you can either print it out at home or bring it on your mobile device) and scan it at the entrance of The Cinemas.
Computer browser
You can also arrange a ticket purchase through your cellphone account by browsing on you computer. The process is similar to the one described above, only the beginning is a little bit different. On your computer, surf to http://www.thecinemas.aw and choose the movie you would like to see. Click on the showtime of your liking and then choose SETAR postpaid as the payment method. On the next page, enter the number of tickets. Once you have entered your SETAR postpaid cellphone number, you SuperCard and your email address, confirm your order and you'll receive an SMS notification. Forward this notification to 4444 and you will have successfully purchased your movietickets. Simply bring your mobile phone containing the SMS with the transaction code to the entrance of The Cinemas and you will gain entrance. If you entered your email address, bring the email you received (you can either print it out at home or bring it on your mobile device) and scan it at the entrance of T Cinemas.
Direct SMS
If you are not able to browse on your mobile device and are not sitting behind your PC, you can also purchase tickets via direct SMS. Send the title of the movie you would like to see to 4444 (if you don't know which movies are playing, just send "LIST" in an SMS to 4444 and you'll receive a list of movies that are currently playing). Once you have sent the movie title, you will receive today's schedule for that movie. Send the number of tickets and the letter assigned to the showtime of your choice to 4444 (eg. "2A"). You will receive an SMS notification confirming your choice. Forward this SMS to 4444 to finalize the transaction. Simply present you transaction code at the entrance of the Cinemas to gain entrance.
Monthly Limit
To prevent you from losing track of your mobile purchases, we have set a monthly limit on the amount of money you can spend on mobile ticketing. The amount is currently set at Afl. 100,- for all Setar postpaid customers. Should you wish to raise this limit, simply visit any SETAR teleshop and fill the required form. Don't forget to bring a valid ID.
To find out what your current balance is, simply send "INFO" in an SMS to 4444 and you will receive an SMS detailing your current balance and your monthly limit.
